GPS Using a MiniDuino Board

The primary use of this GPS is as a Geocaching device. The device can also be used as a DataLogger.

Design Components

• MiniDuino - Arduino clone
• Soft Start Switch - Actually not yet installed, I put in a slide switch instead.
• FTDU - USB to TTL converter
• 5-Way-Switch (Navigation Keypad)
• TFT-LCD alternate part is Adafruit 1.8" TFT LCD
• Adafruit Ultimate GPS
• Mounting holes are very small. I used M2 screws to mount the module.

• 8 AA batteries holder and 8 AA NiMH batteries
• 120 mA measured with display active
